August 1, 2017 Letter to the Department

In response to the Department of Education's June 2017 request for public comment seeking input on regulations appropriate for repeal, replacement or modification, WCET and SAN submitted a comment focused on the clarifications needed for implementation of the 2016 Federal Regulations for State Authorization of Distance Education that were stated to be effective July 1, 2018.  Pertinent regulations included:  34 CFR 600.2; 34 CFR 600.9 (c); and 34 CFR 668.50.
